Here's what CNBC TV's producers were watching as the S & P 500 retreated from its record, and what's on the radar for the next session. Big data on 'Squawk Box' Durable goods and housing starts both come in at 8:30 a.m. ET. Becky Quick, Andrew Ross Sorkin and Joe Kernen will be watching and will have full market reaction. Economists polled by Dow Jones are anticipating a 0.2% increase for durable goods. The big earnings reports after the bell Alphabet , Amazon , Meta Platforms , Microsoft and Qualcomm all report Wednesday. Results will be featured live on " Closing Bell: Overtime " with Melissa Lee and Mike Santoli. Alphabet has climbed 4.1% in the past three months. The stock hit a new high on Monday. It is up about 22% in April. Amazon has gained nearly 7% in the past three months. The stock hit a high last week. It is up around 25% in April. Meta has been flat over the past three months. Shares are off 16% from the August 2025 high, but they are up nearly 28% in a month. Microsoft has lost about 11% in the past three months. Shares are down 23% from the July high but up 20% in the past month. Qualcomm has fallen 1.8% in the past three months. The stock is off 27% from the October high but up 18% in a month. …
