The former Tennessee Titans running back was diagnosed last year at the age of 39 and has shared his story to raise awareness. ALS is a progressive degenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. According to the NHS, , external it is the most common form of motor neurone disease (MND).
