The vote comes after lawmakers reached a deal last week on the bill, which is aimed at increasing the supply of homes while limiting private equity 's influence on the housing market. The House is expected to vote on the bill later this week. "America is facing a housing crisis, and it's long past time for Congress to act," Sen. Adam Schiff , D-Calif., a supporter of the legislation, posted to X on Sunday. "The bipartisan ROAD to Housing Act will boost our housing supply & stop private equity from buying up single-family homes — and bring costs down."
